Brief Introduction:

The Extracare™ Blood Monitoring System is designed to measure the blood glucose levels in fresh capillary whole blood samples from fingerstick or venous whole blood (venous whole blood is not recommended to collect at home). The system is suitable for diabetics to monitor their blood glucose at home by themselves and also can be used at clinical sites by healthcare professionals to test the blood glucose levels of patients. It is a self-testing and professional use device for the quantitative determination of blood glucose levels in whole blood. For in vitro diagnostic use only.

Principle of measurement:

The test is based on electrochemical sensor technology. The Meter measures the electrical current generated by the reaction of glucose with the reagent of the strip, and displays the corresponding blood glucose level. The strength of the current produced by the reaction depends on the amount of glucose in the blood sample.
